My name is Emi Lou Nathan, and I’m a 17-year-old photographer behind E.L.N. Photography. For me, photography isn’t just a business—it’s a way to capture the emotions and stories that make life unforgettable.

From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the idea of holding onto memories—the beautiful, the messy, and everything in between. I started taking photos as a way to freeze the moments I never wanted to forget, and over time, my passion turned into something much more meaningful. I discovered that a single image can make someone feel deeply: joy, nostalgia, wonder, or even a bittersweet ache. That’s what I aim to capture in every photo—the raw, authentic emotions that make life worth remembering.

Inspired by the natural world and its endless beauty, my photography focuses on telling stories in the most genuine way possible. I love working with seniors, high school students, families, couples, best friends, and brands that want their products to feel real and approachable. Portrait shoots, especially with high school girls, are some of my favorite projects to work on because, as someone close in age, I can deeply relate to their experiences, bringing a unique perspective to capturing their personal, meaningful stories. Each project, whether it’s a senior portrait that reflects your personality, a couple’s photoshoot that tells your love story, or lifestyle product photography that brings everyday moments to a new level, is an opportunity to pour my heart into creating images that feel true to you.

I’m based in New Orleans, a city full of life, history, and creativity. While I’m just beginning my journey as a photographer, I’ve already had the chance to work on projects ranging from portraits to jewelry shoots. My age gives me a fresh perspective and a deep connection to my peers, which helps me create photos that feel relatable and full of life.
